fonts-droid-fallback software package provides handheld device font with extensive style and language support (fallback), you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-droid-fallback
fonts-droid-fallback is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-droid-fallback package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-droid-fallback *
You will get with fonts-droid-fallback package name, version, architecture and description in a table
